Two Minutes To Late ~ Part 2
Adjusting my plans due to the unexpected snowfall, and icy conditions first thing, combined with enjoying myself photographing Cwmorthin so much, means that I run out of time.
Two Minutes To Late ~ Part 1
At 04:45 I was the only idiot in the village, or should I say Cwmorthin car park. The plan was to photograph Stwlan Dam at sunrise, which was 05:40. With just shy of 2 miles, and 500 metres of elevation to go I knew it was going to be tight.
Foel Quarry
Today’s location was Foel Quarry, which sits above the village of Capel Curig, on the eastern slopes of Moel Siabod in the Eryri National Park. I had been at this spot back in October 2019, but due to a bout of cold I’d only managed to get as far as Rhos Quarry. Today the plan was to climb up to Llyn Siabod, whilst it was cool, and then photograph the quarry on the way down.
