Two Minutes To Late ~ Part 1
At 04:45 I was the only idiot in the village, or should I say Cwmorthin car park. The plan was to photograph Stwlan Dam at sunrise, which was 05:40. With just shy of 2 miles, and 500 metres of elevation to go I knew it was going to be tight.
Sunrise Bust at The Roaches
Landscape photography in the Peak District. The forecast was looking good. A mixture of high, and low cloud promised a decent sunrise opportunity. Sadly though it wasn’t to be . . .
Springtime Cloud Inversion
Photographing a stunning sunrise springtime cloud inversion at The Roaches in the Peak District and I almost missed it due to a bacon, and cheese sandwich. Now that would have been a travesty!
Back to Baldstone
Tonight there was another half chance of a sunset, so I headed up to the back of The Roaches in the Staffordshire Peak District for. spot of landscape photography thinking I may get some nice light on the Baldstone ridgeline.
Some Things Never Change
I decided to go Roach End in the Staffordshire Peak District figuring it should be quieter than over by Hen Cloud. It felt like it’d been weeks since there was a decent sunset, and a half chance of getting one tonight was enough to get me out of the house, even with a fresh breeze forecast.
