Caldon Canal ~ Leek Branch

The Leek branch of the Caldon Canal starts at Hazelhurst junction and runs for approximately 2¾ miles to the Rudyard feeder. The canal originally passed over the River Churnet, in to the Leek Basin but the last ½ mile was closed and filled in during the late 1950’s.
The Leek branch of the Caldon Canal has no locks and one tunnel.
