A first trip out to Magpie Mine in the Derbyshire Peak District. The weather forecast wasn’t going to provide an epic sunset, but with an industrial landscape I thought “moody” would work quite well.

Adjusting my plans due to the unexpected snowfall, and icy conditions first thing, combined with enjoying myself photographing Cwmorthin so much, means that I run out of time.
Two Minutes To Late ~ Part 1
At 04:45 I was the only idiot in the village, or should I say Cwmorthin car park. The plan was to photograph Stwlan Dam at sunrise, which was 05:40. With just shy of 2 miles, and 500 metres of elevation to go I knew it was going to be tight.
Sunrise Bust at The Roaches
Landscape photography in the Peak District. The forecast was looking good. A mixture of high, and low cloud promised a decent sunrise opportunity. Sadly though it wasn’t to be . . .
